Summary

Description

Use of ternary numbers to balance an unknown integer weight from 1 to 40 kg with weights of 1, 3, 9 and 27 kg by CMG Lee.

Not shown are the weights mirrored to balance −1 to −40 kg, and completely removed to balance 0 kg, giving a total of 81 (3⁴) possible 4-digit ternary numbers.
